That same year, his contributions earned him a nomination at the *South African Hip-Hop Awards*. His impact grew exponentially, leading to back-to-back wins in 2016 and 2017, solidifying his reputation as a key figure in the scene.
Beyond talent discovery, Illythehost has curated mixtapes, organized cyphers, and collaborated with platforms like Metro FM and ShizLive, further cementing his influence. His work eventually led him to Hype Magazine, Africa’s leading hip-hop publication.
