Blues and alternative artist Liv Die is originally from Cape Town and now resides in Bloemfontein. She has been making music since the age of 8 and has always loved it. An independent South African singer, songwriter and artist. Her works appear as dreamlike images in which fiction and reality meet, well-known tropes merge, meanings shift, past and present fuse. Time and memory always play a key role. By applying poetic and often metaphorical language, she creates music that generates diverse meanings.
Her music fits into an indie and blue ballad sound with deep honest lyrics. She has been compared to Dan Patlansky, Spoeg wolf, Fokof Polisie Kar, early B and has shared the stage with many local and talented artists. She also did a production with a theater company, and it won first prize in an international competition. She has also participated and been associated with various charities. She is currently focused on making her album and making music and arts a full-time career.
