Cornelius Olifant is a multi-instrumentalist with the skill to play piano, guitar, and bass guitar, having worked with acclaimed acts from the city of Bloemfontein (Free State, South Africa) including M.Rumbi who has over 16 000 monthly Spotify listeners and BasicCity who have been accolades from the National Arts Festival. Having performed in many spaces around Bloemfontein including the Vrystat Kunstefees, PACOFS, and Oliewenhuis, Cornelius has built a name for himself in the art space in Bloemfontein.
He’s toured the country and performed at the Forge in Johannesburg and has been in multiple interviews with Free State TV and even Cape Town TV. Cornelius is one of the directors at 56 Tambo, an arts Community Centre in the heart of Bloemfontein. Cornelius gives free guitar lessons to people at 56 Tambo. Cornelius is also the Club Coordinator at Cineba Film Club which is a Bloemfontein-based African Film club.
