Creative Placements

The Music Imbizo has opened applications for a Paid Creative Work Placement Programme delivered in partnership with NEFCISA (a Music In Africa Foundation initiative) and the Social Employment Fund.

This opportunity invites unemployed creatives to join The Music Imbizo’s core delivery team as the platform builds toward The Music Imbizo 2026. The placement runs for 7 months, with a minimum commitment of 7 working days per month, and offers structured, real-world experience supporting a major cultural and creative industries platform.

Skills areas needed

Selected participants will be placed into one of the following workstreams:

  • Graphic Design (posters, templates, layouts, sponsor assets)
  • Video & Multimedia (short-form filming/editing, interviews, promos, basic motion)
  • Social Media & Copy (content planning, captions, scheduling, community support)
  • Outreach & Activation (flyer distribution, campus/venue activations, QR sign-ups, evidence photos)

Minimum eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • Unemployed
  • 18+ years
  • Minimum Grade 12
  • Have a valid bank account
  • Demonstrate basic skills relevant to the role
