The Music Imbizo has officially opened its Call for Musicians for the 2026 edition, inviting artists and bands to apply to perform as part of the festival’s showcase programme.

Taking place in Durban, South Africa (26–29 August 2026), The Music Imbizo 2026 will be delivered under the theme: “Toward a Sacred Economy of Sound – Building the Systems for a Conscious Music Industry.” The showcase platform remains a central part of The Music Imbizo—connecting exceptional live talent with music industry professionals, media, programmers, and potential partners.

Selected artists will be featured across The Music Imbizo’s live showcase environments, designed to support visibility, discovery, and market access for African and global music talent. The showcases form part of a wider programme that includes talks, panels, workshops, and networking moments where artists can engage directly with delegates and industry decision-makers.
