Early Bird Tickets Available

In case you missed the memo … the KZN Music Imbizo 2018 dates and theme are OUT! Save Thursday 23 – Saturday 25 August for growing your network and knowledge in the global music industry.

The KZN Music Imbizo continues to show signs of growth and maintains its signature as a platform that accommodates the novice and the professional in the music business.

How do they top a fairly successful 2017 conference that included over 60 speakers from close to 20 countries, that interacted with just over 300 delegates on a daily basis? Dr Sipho Sithole delivering one of the most memorable keynoye speeches of all time? The music producer forums hosted by THE KIFFNESS, Rude Boyz, Manqoba Mntungwa and Lastee (SELECT PLAY)? Free entrance to industry round tables on Hiphop, Maskandi and Gospel plus a talk on Artist Management? The showcases and much more that was the KZN Music Imbizo 2017? How do they top that?

KZN Music Imbizo 2018 has a very interesting theme (NO BORDERS – LET THE MUSIC TRAVEL). How does music travel in the 21st century? Music mobility remains one of the most important issues, especially in the continent. How do our audiences access and consume our music? What are the best ways to plan around these platforms? Talks will include in depth discussions on touring, music licensing, streaming, royalty collection, film scoring, advertising and other relevant topics.

More importantly, Sphe Mbhele (Project Manager) promises an improvement in the showcase element of the conference. “This will now become a very important aspect of the KZN Music Imbizo. We want to bring in the audience in their numbers. We will be doing our best to present some of our best artists in a way that would encourage local audiences to come out and support,” said Mr Mbhele.

The KZN Music Imbizo just released a limited number of early bird tickets for R300.00 – the special runs till the end of May. These are tickets for the day conference at the Moses Mabhida Stadium suites, from Thursday 23 to Saturday 25 August.
